 After graduation I went to Kearney State College for one year and then married my High School sweetheart, Steve Allmand. We were married for 27 years and divorced 10 years ago. Guess divorce wasn't on my bucket list but never the less mistakes happen. Since then I've lived in Kearney, Sioux Falls, SD, Bellevue, Omaha, Corning, IA and now Lincoln, NE. Although it has taken me a LONG time to figure it out I have found peace and contentment on a long bumpy journey. I moved to Lincoln this year to help out my Mom and Dad. Their health isn't what it used to be and so I felt I needed to be closer. Perhaps more for me than them but none the less here I am. Never dreamed I'd live anywhere but in Holdrege, but I have discovered life in the "big" city (compared to Holdrege) can be a wonderful thing. Don't get me wrong, I will always be thankful to have been able to be a stay at home Mom and raise my children in a small town. Guess I was always "afraid" of my own shadow, so to speak, and never realized I could live anywhere else. I am the most thankful to my Heavenly Father who always loved me and continued to care for me no matter what mistake I made in my life. My life verse will always be, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not upon your own understanding...." Life is Good.
